PineMed Urine Collection Diapers 0–5 kg – 2 pieces are specially designed disposable diapers for collecting urine samples from newborns and babies weighing up to 5 kg. A sterile urine reservoir is integrated into the diaper, providing a practical option for obtaining a sample for laboratory analysis.

Unlike conventional adhesive urine collection bags, the PineMed reservoir is designed so that the sterile collection bag does not sit directly against the baby's skin. The diaper is fitted similarly to a standard disposable diaper, while its internal construction directs urine towards the collection reservoir.

The Air Thermal Bonded layer is designed to separate the initial urine flow and help collect the subsequent portion in the sterile reservoir.

Directions: fit the PineMed diaper in the same way as a normal disposable diaper. The manufacturer recommends collecting the sample while the baby is in an appropriate upright or active position rather than during sleep, prolonged lying or sitting.

After urination, carefully remove the diaper and take out the sterile urine collection reservoir. Deliver the specimen to the laboratory as soon as possible and follow the laboratory's instructions for transport and storage.
