Navoban is a drug containing the active substance tropisetron, a selective antagonist of 5-HT₃ serotonin receptors. It is used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy or surgery.
Composition and shape
Active substance: tropisetron (5 mg per capsule)
Excipients: lactose, croscarmellose sodium, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, gelatin, titanium dioxide, red and yellow iron oxide
Pharmaceutical form: capsules
Method of application
Prevention of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting:
Adults: 5 mg once daily, the initial dose is given intravenously before starting chemotherapy, then continued with capsules for 2–3 days.
Children: the dose is determined according to body weight, usually 0.2 mg/kg of body weight, up to a maximum of 5 mg per day.
Prevention of nausea and vomiting caused by surgery:
Adults: 2 mg intravenously before surgery.
How to take: swallow the whole capsule with a glass of water, at least one hour before a meal.
Note: therapy should be started under the supervision of a doctor.
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, Navoban can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The most commonly reported side effects include:
headache
constipation
dizziness
stomach pains
diarrhea
fatigue
Very rare side effects include:
allergic reactions

Contraindications and warnings
Navoban must not be used if you have:
allergy to tropisetron or any of the excipients
heart rhythm disorders
severe disorders of liver function

Storage of medicine

Store at a temperature of up to 25°C.
Do not use the medicine after the expiration date stated on the package.
The medicine must not be thrown into waste water or household waste.

For the territory of the Republic of Serbia:
For goods ordered up to 5.000,00 RSD, delivery charge is 260.00 RSD (VAT included). For goods over 5.000,00 RSD, shipping is free of charge.
For international delivery:
For the export of goods abroad through the PostExport service of Post of Serbia, the shipping price is for:
- Zone I (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia) - 1,280.00 RSD
- Zone II (Other European countries) - 1,790.00 RSD
- Zone III (Asia, Africa, America, Australia and other countries) - 2,650.00 RSD
Delivery time is 15 days or more (depending on the country of delivery)
For export of goods abroad through DHL service, the shipping price is 2,700.00 RSD. Delivery time is 1-5 business days (depending on the country of delivery)
Shipping cost is with tax. The price includes the delivery of the parcel to the buyer's address with the associated tax and customs at the seller's expense. A possible additional cost may be a customs charge against the buyer, depending on the country to which the package is being shipped.
