Monotens Plus is a medicine used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Contains two active substances:
Fosinopril: an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor (ACE inhibitor) that dilates blood vessels and lowers blood pressure.
Hydrochlorothiazide: a diuretic that helps the body get rid of excess fluid, thereby further lowering blood pressure.
This combination of drugs is used when the administration of only one drug is not enough to control blood pressure.
Indications
Monotens Plus is used to treat essential arterial hypertension (high blood pressure) in patients who are not sufficiently controlled with one drug alone.
Dosage
The recommended dose is one tablet per day, taken at the same time each day. The medicine is usually taken in the morning, with or without food. It is important to follow the doctor's instructions regarding the dosage and time of taking the medicine.
Contraindications
Monotens Plus must not be used if:
You are allergic to fosinopril, hydrochlorothiazide or any of the excipients.
You have a history of angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat) associated with previous ACE inhibitor therapy.
You suffer from severe kidney or liver disease.
You are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
You have a low concentration of potassium in your blood (hypokalaemia).
You have a low concentration of sodium in your blood (hyponatremia).([Medicamente][3])
You have a high level of calcium in your blood (hypercalcaemia).
You have occasional or persistent liver problems.
Adverse effects
Like all medicines, Monotens Plus can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The most common side effects include:
Dizziness or fainting when standing up.
Headache.
Fatigue.
Nausea.
In rare cases, more serious side effects may occur, such as:
Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat (angioedema).([Medic][1])
Kidney problems.
Low blood pressure.([Medic][1])
An increase in the level of potassium in the blood.

Storage of medicine
Monotens Plus should be stored at a temperature of up to 25°C, out of the reach and sight of children. The medicine should not be used after the expiration date indicated on the package.

Delivery outside the territory of the Republic of Serbia, ie export of goods, is done exclusively through the service of DHL and PostExport Post of Serbia.

For the territory of the Republic of Serbia:
For goods ordered up to 5.000,00 RSD, delivery charge is 260.00 RSD (VAT included). For goods over 5.000,00 RSD, shipping is free of charge.
For international delivery:
For the export of goods abroad through the PostExport service of Post of Serbia, the shipping price is for:
- Zone I (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia) - 1,280.00 RSD
- Zone II (Other European countries) - 1,790.00 RSD
- Zone III (Asia, Africa, America, Australia and other countries) - 2,650.00 RSD
Delivery time is 15 days or more (depending on the country of delivery)
For export of goods abroad through DHL service, the shipping price is 2,700.00 RSD. Delivery time is 1-5 business days (depending on the country of delivery)
Shipping cost is with tax. The price includes the delivery of the parcel to the buyer's address with the associated tax and customs at the seller's expense. A possible additional cost may be a customs charge against the buyer, depending on the country to which the package is being shipped.
