Directions for use

1. Shake the bottle thoroughly before each use.
2. Cleanse the face and allow the skin to dry completely.
3. Dispense 2–3 pumps into the hands.
4. Gently press onto the face, avoiding the eyelids, lips and immediate eye area.
5. Allow the serum to absorb without rinsing.
6. Follow with a suitable moisturiser.
7. Finish the morning routine with broad-spectrum sunscreen.

How often should it be used?

Although the manufacturer allows morning and evening use, new acid users should begin with two or three evenings per week. Increase the frequency only if the skin remains comfortable.

Reduce use or pause if pronounced burning, persistent redness, scaling or tightness develops.

Important information

• for external use only;
• do not apply to damp, damaged or severely irritated skin;
• avoid the eyes, lips and mucous membranes;
• perform a patch test before first use;
• do not combine in the same routine with another AHA, BHA or PHA exfoliant;
• reactive skin should not layer it with retinoids, benzoyl peroxide or strong vitamin C;
• the alcohol and aromatic essential oils may cause stinging or redness;
• discontinue use if severe burning, itching, swelling or rash develops;
• the product is not a treatment for moderate or severe acne;
• daily sunscreen is required while using exfoliating acids.

Pharmacist’s advice

PHA is generally better tolerated than stronger glycolic or salicylic acid treatments, but this does not guarantee an irritation-free experience. The formula also contains denatured alcohol, mint, peppermint, eucalyptus and limonene.

Begin with two evenings per week and avoid introducing another exfoliant at the same time. Follow with a lightweight moisturiser, even when the skin is oily.

Persistent painful acne, scarring or sudden worsening requires professional dermatological assessment.
