Product Description

Refalgin tablets successfully block the entry of stomach acid into the esophagus and protect the gastric mucosa in people who have digestive disorders in the form of ulcers.Refalgin tablets are formulated to help patients who have problems with stomach acid, their advantage is fast and long-lasting effect, as well as the absence of certain side effects that are typical for drugs against gastroesophageal reflux disease.Refalgin tablets are a medical device intended for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease and associated symptoms: Acidic regurgitation Heartburn Pyrosis (heartburn) during pregnancy Digestive disorders associated with the return flow of acidic gastric contents into the esophagus A cough Hoarseness Inflammation of the nasopharynx This medicine can be used for a long time as a prevention and prophylaxis in the treatment with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.7 reasons to take Refalgin tablets in case of heartburn: Rapid action: onset of symptom control within 3 minutes after ingestion Long-term effect: control of symptoms for more than 4 hours Strong effect, comparable to the effect of proton pump inhibitors (IPP) Mechanical action: creates a natural barrier between the stomach and esophagus It can also be taken for a long time as an adjunct therapy in treatment with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It can also be used by children Therapy included in the recommendations of the World Organization of Gastroenterology Acid-related diseases Increased stomach acidity is a condition that accompanies gastritis, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), ulcer-like dyspepsia, and gastric ulcer.Ulcers Duodenal ulcer and gastric ulcer are known as peptic ulcer and are open lesions on the mucous membrane. The two main causes of ulcers are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and the bacterium Helicobacter pylori. Once formed, the ulcer becomes a prerequisite for increased damage to the mucous membrane, which is caused by high acidity and the enzyme pepsin, which are found in gastric juice.Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) A condition that affects up to 30% of the population in European countries and is caused by the entry of gastric contents into the esophagus. Unlike the gastric mucosa, the esophagus is not resistant to the strongly acidic and aggressive environment, characteristic of gastric juice, and this leads to its damage and the appearance of symptoms that reduce the patient's quality of life. The most important element of the antireflux barrier is the lower esophageal sphincter (DES), which is a muscular structure that prevents the passage of gastric contents in the opposite direction (reflux) from the stomach to the esophagus. The cause of gastroesophageal reflux is transient relaxation of DES, which is spontaneous and not caused by food intake.Therapy in most cases relies on one mechanism, the reduction of environmental acidity, which is achieved in three different ways:Neutralization of gastric acidity with alkaline compounds (this is how antacids work). The effect is fast, but short-lived and has no effect on the recovery of the mucous membrane.Reducing the production of hydrochloric acid (HCl) by blocking the interaction of histamine with histamine H2-receptors of parietal cells in the stomach (this is how H2-blockers such as ranitidine, famotidine, cimetidine, etc. work)Irreversible inhibition of an enzyme system known as a proton pump (this is how proton pump inhibitors (IPPs) work: omeprazole, pantoprazole, esomeprazole, rabeprazole, etc.)To date, proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) are the most commonly used therapy in patients with GERD. However, it was found that not all patients respond satisfactorily to this type of treatment and that almost 35% of patients require additional intervention to control symptoms. In addition to the lack of sufficient effect, long-term use of proton pump inhibitors can lead to side effects, due to altered bacterial flora as a result of changes in gastric acidity. With long-term use of IPP it was found: changes in vitamin and mineral absorption metabolic effects on bone density changes in the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of concomitant therapy in comorbid patients the risk of developing infection as a result of community-acquired pneumonia and nosocomial pneumonia Clostridium Difficile altered intestinal flora associated with diarrhea, bloating, and decreased absorption spontaneous bacterial peritonitis interstitial nephritis Refalgin is a new approach in the treatment of diseases related to stomach acid In ulcers: builds a protective layer, which protects the gastric mucosa In GERD - it builds a natural mechanical barrier, which blocks the entry of gastric contents into the esophagus. Composition (in 1 tablet Refalgin / Refalgin): Alginic acid 365 mg Sodium alginate 300 mg Sodium bicarbonate 150 mg Calcium carbonate 150 mg Simethicone 30 mg Way of use: For adults: 1-2 tablets Refalgin half an hour after a meal with a little water.Packing: 20 tablets
